Recognizing Red Ribbon Week for Prevention & Drug Free Living
Since 1988, America has recognized the week of October 23-31 as National Red Ribbon Week. It commemorates the life of DEA Agent Camarena who tragically lost his life in service by asking all of us to commit to a healthy life, drug-free. This is a reflective time for us to learn more about substance use and prevention, destigmatizing addiction and accessing help for substance misuse. Remember, with treatment, recovery does happen and we can all live without the negative influences of substances in our lives.
