APS Summer Experience: Choose Your Adventure are FREE summer camps and programs designed for APS students in grades PreK-12. Campers and attendees can have fun, be creative, solve mysteries, tinker with robots, complete a summer internship or advance in high school credits.

We all feel anxious at times. Sometimes those feelings help us plan ahead, anticipate situations or warn us of potential harm. However, when those fears start to dominate our thoughts or cause us to feel uncomfortable, we need to support one another to calm negative thinking. These six tips can help students deal with anxiety and turn those fears into learning opportunities to meet life's demands.

Golf course laborers - at Good Park Golf Course. 28 hrs per week. $15.66 per hour.
Lifeguards - 28+ hrs per week. $15.00 per hour. The City of Akron can help applicants become certified.
The Parent Project - Changing Destructive Behavior -Attend a parenting class to learn how to address destructive adolescent behavior. There are 10 FREE group sessions on Thursdays beginning May 18 at 6 p.m. at Summit County Juvenile Court (650 Dan St.). A weekly dinner will be provided for participants. School-Based Health services - Students can schedule an after-school visit with a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) if they need a sports physical, well-visit or vaccines. Clinics are open to all APS students. Call 330.543.7242 to schedule an appointment for one of the days below or learn more about School-Based Health Clinics.

West Akron Kiwanis "Flapjacks & Flowers" - April 29 from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Westminster Church (1250 W. Exchange St.). Enjoy performances from Miller South School VPA students. Tickets are $10. Proceeds support APS. Learn more.
