Why saying something is everything

Every day, all of us encounter friends, colleagues and others around the community who are having rough days, who might need to talk or who could be at risk of suicide or even may want to harm others. National Say Something Week from March 4-8, through the efforts of Sandy Hook Promise, represents an opportunity to remind all of us the importance of being present, watching out for one another and ultimately avoiding being a bystander. We just have to recognize warning signs, take action and say something to a trusted person or resource.
